Syrian FM urges opposition to stay away from terrorists #okc #news #wth



Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem says such a move could help make upcoming peace talks in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana successful. Muallem has made the comments at a meeting with senior Iranian official Ali Akbar Velayati in Tehran. The top Syrian diplomat has also urged the opposition not to miss the opportunity for peace at the Astana meeting that is expected to take place in late January. He has said coordination between Syria, Iran and Russia has opened the doors for QUOTE Syria-Syria dialogue. Velayati, for his turn, hailed the recent liberation of the Syrian city of Aleppo as a tremendous victory.
