At least 20 people were killed, with some 40 others injured, after a suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a market in the Wadajir district of Mogadishu, Sunday. It is the first attack since the new Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi entered his office on February 16. Many are considering the bombing as response to the invitation of leaders from neighbouring countries to Abdullahi’s inauguration ceremony, planned for February 22. No group has claimed responsibility for the assault yet. Ahmed Abdulle Afrah, Wadajir District Commissioner (Somali): "You can see the magnitude of this suicide attack at this busy market, so far we confirmed 20 is killed and we fear the number may increase. And around 40 people are injured some serious and they are taken to various hospitals across the city."
