US Attorney General Voices Support for Private Prisons #okc #news #wth

On Thursday, US Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that he supports the federal government’s use of private prisons. In a new memo that replaces the one issued in August by former deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, Sessions said that Yates' order "impaired the Bureau’s ability to meet the future needs of the federal correctional system.” Back in November following Donald Trump's win in the presidential election, stock in some private prison companies soared. The DoJ began working with private facilities as the prison population rose exponentially from 1980 to 2013. However, according to a recent report, private facilities do not maintain the same levels of security and safety that government-run prisons provide. http://cbsn.ws/2l76ege http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
