White House Request to Ditch Trump-Russia Reports Rejected #okc #news #wth



According to multiple US officials this week, the FBI has rejected a request by the White House to put away media reports about communications between Donald Trump's associates and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. Officials added to CNN on Thursday that White House aides had asked that the FBI make it public that no talks between associates of Trump and Russians known to US intelligence ever took place. Insiders say that White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus himself specifically reached out to FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe and FBI Director James Comey asking for the Bureau to talk to reporters to dispute the stories.
