Premier Li Keqiang said that amid many uncertainties in the policies of major economies, China, as a responsible country, will always stand on the side of peace and stability, and contribute to global development. Pundits perceive this as an indirect reference to U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been calling for protectionism for the American economy and job market. Li also announced China's GDP growth target for this year is 6-point-5-percent, point-2 percent lower than last year's,... which was already the lowest growth Beijing recorded in the past 26 years.
