According to a report by the New York Times on Saturday, President Donald Trump discussed all possible options in dealing with Pyongyang with his national security deputies over the week. Re-introducing nuclear weapons would send a dramatic warning to the rogue state. Despite China's continued strong opposition to the soon-to-be-stationed American missile defense system, THAAD, the U.S. could go one step further and deploy additional batteries. The sense of urgency stems from the fact that Seoul's strongest ally may not not have the most effective countermeasures against North Korean nuclear and missile programs... that are proving to be far more resilient than many experts previously thought.
