"I left the rally site about 100 meters away from where the suicide attack happened, some people came with me and some did not when suddenly a huge explosion took place at the entrance gate of a security base in which the election campaign was ongoing," said rally participant, Agha. According to reports, a suicide bomber on a motorbike attacked a campaign rally held by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, who runs for office. Ghani is reported to be unhurt. Country's capital Kabul was also targeted the same day, where at least 22 people were killed and 38 were wounded after a suicide bomber detonated explosives near the US Embassy.
