Watch in full screen HD 4K if possible! New blasts are occurring at Japan's Nishinoshima Volcano as the island continues to grow out of the sea. Seen in this video released by JAXA, and the Japan Coast Guard , two powerful short eruptive events were captured in high definition. The blasts are part of the ongoing eruption which is creating the new island - rapidly growing over 1sq mile in size. Nishinoshima volcano, located along the Japanese Izu Trench (about 500 miles South of Tokyo Japan), began to see a rapid increase in land mass over the past several months of 2015. This newest video shows multiple blasts now occurring at the new volcanic island, and the sulfur deposits which were seen in the previous flyover are now gone due to these new eruptive events. The Japanese coast guard captured this HD video as they did a new flyover of the area for navigation chart updates. The island is growing rapidly, vessels which travel the area have been warned to stay away from this ongoing eruption.... for clear reasons (obviously) with a new island growing out of the sea, floating pumice, and pyroclastic flows are possible off this now multiple hundred foot high mountain. The mountain rose rapidly from the sea floor, which itself is several hundred feet deep-- thus this new island is a new permanent fixture in the Japanese Izu island chain.
