COVID triggers Chile orphan crisis



In Chile, more than 2,000 children are now orphaned, from one or both parents, as the COVID-19 crisis wreaks havoc. The orphans are living in homes for abandoned children, and their fate is still unclear. Congress is proposing a bill to give them a long-term pension to allow family members or others to take charge of the youngsters.
